## General
The LDO Guide is a bit confusing as the steps have a number in the blue circle, but then state "Step 1 of 16" underneath them. This errata references the "Step X of Y", generally under the "Installation" section of each page.

## Extruder V2 - Differences from the Stock Extruder Build
Stock Extruder Build Guide: [1 - Positron V3.2 - Extruder \| LDO Motion](https://ldomotion.com/guides/1---positron-v32---extruder)
If you're using the Extruder V2 (highly recommended!) -- it helps to look at the CAD for assembly help!
- "Preparation for the Printed Part"
- `Extruder Guidler (Accent Color)`
- Insert M3x5x4 heat set insert.
- `Z Endstop Extruder Motor Plate (Accent Color)`
- Insert M3x5x4 heat set insert.
- `Extruder Main Body`
- Insert 2x M3x5x4 heat set insert.
- Step 2 - "Install the Bottom Plate"
- The bottom plate instead uses 2x **M3x8 BHCS**.
- Step 7 - "Install the Thumbsrew"
- The Extruder V2 does NOT use the included thumbscrew.
- You must replace the Thumbscrew with a **M3x30 SHCS** as the thumbscrew head collides with the Extruder V2 main body.
- It is possible the kit might not include this, if not, you will unfortunately need to self-source this fastener to use Extruder V2.
- Step 8 - "Install the Endstop"
- `Z Endstop Cable` from the Electronics Box.
- `M2x10 Self Tapping Screw` from main fastener bag.
## LDO Guide - Section 2 - Z Column
[2 - Positron V3.2 - Z Column \| LDO Motion](https://ldomotion.com/guides/2---positron-v32---z-column)
- Step 8 - "Install the Z Belt Retainer Block"
- The 2x **M3x10 SHCS** required were not found in any fastener baggy or in the printed LDO BOM Packing List... but they WERE present in the baggy labeled "Spare Fasteners".
- This was true with a kit purchased Fall 2025 (Batch 3).
## LDO Guide - Section 3 - Z Drive
[3 - Positron V3.2 - Z Drive \| LDO Motion](https://ldomotion.com/guides/3---positron-v32---z-drive)
- Note: The Z Drive Stepper is the pancake stepper without a sleeved cabled. The one with the sleeved cable is for the Extruder.
## LDO Guide - Section 8 - Base Plate
[8 - Positron V3.2 - Base Plate \| LDO Motion](https://ldomotion.com/guides/8---positron-v32---base-plate)
- Step 9 - "Prepare the Front Bumper"
- The front LED PCB is actually secured to the front bumper with 1x **M2.5x10 BHCS**.
-
## LDO Guide - Section 9 - Final Assembly
[9 - Positron V3.2 - Final Assembly \| LDO Motion](https://ldomotion.com/guides/9---positron-v32---final-assembly)
- Step 3 - "Install the Motor to the Extruder"
- Ensure sufficient grease is applied to the planetary gears and planetary cover!
- The Extruder Motor is the pancake stepper that has the black sleeved cable. The Z Drive Stepper does NOT have a sleeved cable.
- Step 9 - "Route the Belt"
- The documentation states: "The belt goes into the hole of the printed part. (In order to give a better view, the hotend is not shown in this picture. **It should be in place.**)"
- This is not accurate, the hot end is not installed until later (Step 12)!
- 9 - Step 8 says to install X Rail... Step 9 says that Hot End (from Guide 6) should be installed.... you actually attach it in Step 12!
